Sometimes players are supposed to save their head coach and that’s exactly what Avonte Maddox did after Nick Sirianni gave the Raiders life on a controversial penalty call.
Las Vegas was set to punt on fourth and three when Sirianni chose to make it a third and fifteen. The Raiders continued the drive and ended up in scoring position before Maddox intercepted a short pass over the middle intended for Las Vegas fullback Jalen Richard.
