Washington Redskins quarterback Dwayne Haskins got a star-studded workout in on Wednesday afternoon, according to Chad Johnson’s Twitter page. Haskins spent the afternoon throwing with Antonio Brown, Stefon Diggs, Geno Smith, and Johnson.
It’s hard not to look too deep into this workout session, but it’s likely just a group of guys that were in the same area who chose to use their time to hang out and play the game that they love. Brown is easily the most intriguing player that was in attendance, seeing as he is currently a free agent and reportedly looking for a place to play. Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson has recently pushed for his team to sign Brown.
For those of you who are pining for the Redskins to sign a player like AB, it doesn’t quite make sense, though it is entertaining to think about. While they could benefit from another playmaker, the personality and spotlight that Brown would bring to Washington doesn’t quite mesh with what Ron Rivera is trying to create.
It can’t hurt for Haskins to learn from an incredible route-runner, though.
