Watch Dublin band Pillow Queens make their US TV debut on The Late Late Show with James Corden

Hotly-tipped Dublin band Pillow Queens may not have performed on our own Late Late Show yet, but last night they arguably went one better by making their US TV debut on James Corden's equivalent.

Clearly a fan of the band, English presenter Corden enthused about their album In Waiting, calling it one of the best records of 2020, as he interviewed lead singer Pamela Connolly and bassist Sarah Corcoran remotely from their homes.

After inviting the band to join him in the Late Late Show studio on their next visit to Los Angeles, Corden introduced a pre-recorded live version of their song Liffey, taken from In Waiting.

It has been a busy start to 2021 for the band - last Wednesday, In Waiting was nominated for the Choice Music Prize, while on Thursday they appeared on Vicar Street's VISION series alongside Lisa Hannigan, Loah & Joanne McNally.
