There are certain songs that have the ability to get everyone to stop what they're doing and belt out every line.
And one of the songs with such super human powers is definitely Don't Look Back in Anger by Oasis.
The song which reached number 1 some 23 years ago now remains an absolute classic and by the time it reaches its famous "so Sally can wait..." chorus all resistance is futile as proved in the above video showing drinkers at Market Shaker in the Cloth Market on Saturday night.
Saturday proved to be quite a day for sing alongs in Newcastle.
, hours after shoppers in Newcastle had been treated to a rendition of Brown Eyed Girl by buskers at Monument.
And then of course there is the boy who broke the internet - five-year-old Vinny Finlinson from Walker, who went viral after delighting shoppers by singing to songs like George Ezra's Shotgun in Old Eldon Square.
But anyway, back to Market Shaker and, as you can see in the video at the top of the story, drinkers there needed little encouragement to join forces and raise the voices for a mass sing along of Don't Look Back in Anger!
The man responsible for generating the epic scenes at the Shaker is DJ Alex Opal and there'll be more of the same when he returns to the decks at the weekend and every Saturday night.
No pressure Newcastle but after an epic Saturday of sing alongs last week, we're wanting more of the same this week!
