Watch: Drew Brees leads pregame chant before Rams game

New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees is known for his pregame chants, and he saved a great one for his team’s Week 2 kickoff on the road against the Los Angeles Rams. Brees has led these group hype-sessions before every game for nearly two decades, having been inspired by a Marine Corps unit he met on a USO Tour early in career.

“Hey, you don’t need to look at the scoreboard today, nobody needs to look at the scoreboard,” Brees shouted, while surrounded by teammates like defensive end Marcus Davenport and wide receiver Tre’Quan Smith.

“Just take it one play at a time, and play for the man next to you,” Brees continued, “and remember this: nobody said it had to be close. Nobody said it had to be close!”
