Watch: Draymond Green looks like next Splash Brother at offseason workout

After an extended edition of the offseason, the Golden State Warriors could finally have a target date for their return to game action.

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski and The Athletic’s Shams Charania, the NBA Players Association has approved the league’s plan for a Dec. 22 start date for the 2020-21 season. Members of the Warriors will have the remainder of November before returning to Chase Center for the start of preseason training camp.

In the final leg of Golden State’s eight-month offseason, Draymond Green is working on his long-distance jumper. On Friday, NBA skills coach Travis Walton shared a video of the former Defensive Player of the Year splashing a series of corner 3-pointers at the Samson Center in Los Angeles.

During the Instagram video, Green drilled four consecutive catch and shoot triples from the corner.

Green’s latest display isn’t the first time he’s been spotted getting up shots from beyond the arc. In early October, the three-time All-Star was back in the gym, showing off his range.

After shooting only 27.9% on 3.0 3-point attempts per game last season, there’s a reason Green has been working on his long-distance jumper. Although Green dealt with injuries and load management, his 3-point shooting numbers from 2019-20 were his lowest mark since his rookie year (20.9%).

With Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson back on the floor creating space, Green will have the chance to capitalize on his offseason work in 2020-21.
