Watch: Draymond Green ejected vs. Cavs after exchange with Donovan Mitchell

After missing the finale of the Golden State Warriors’ road swing due to personal reasons on Wednesday agains the Denver Nuggets, Draymond Green made his return to the court on Saturday night against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

However, his return to the lineup was short lived. In the third quarter, the former Defensive Player of the Year received his second technical foul and was ejected from the contest.

After a made Caris LeVert bucket, Cavs All-Star guard Donovan Mitchell chased down Green and fouled him as he brought the ball up the court the other way. Mitchell appeared to be gesturing and pointing towards the other of end of the floor.

Following a replay review, Green appeared to shove Mitchell into the first row of seats under the basket. After no initial call, the referees assessed Green with his second technical following the review, resulting in an ejection.

Prior to his ejection, Green was animated throughout the night, jawing with Mitchell and having an exchange with Cleveland center Jarrett Allen. Green also attempted to fire up the crowd at Chase Center on Saturday night. On his way to the locker room, Green cheered with the crowd again.

Green finished with eight points on 3-of-4 shooting from the field to go along with a pair of made triples, five boards and four assists in 18 minutes. Without Green, the Warriors couldn’t hold on at home against the Cavs, losing 118-110.

The Warriors have now lost two in a row and will face Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves on the second leg of a back-to-back on Saturday night at Chase Center.
