An Israeli strike hit a building near Beirut’s main airport road on Tuesday, with visuals showing the structure collapsing into rubble after the military warned it would target a “Hezbollah facility,” reported AFP.
Broadcast footage showed plumes of smoke rising from the site on the edge of the Lebanese capital’s southern suburbs. A video circulating on social media captured a missile striking the upper floors of the building, with debris scattering onto the airport road.
Security forces had earlier closed the road following the Israeli warning. The targeted area lies in Dahiya, a Hezbollah stronghold that has seen repeated strikes amid ongoing tensions. There was no immediate official confirmation on casualties.
