Watch: Dolphins WR Jaylen Waddle scorches Falcons defender

Keeping up with Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle is a tough chore — the blazing fast wide receiver is one of the most dynamic open-field athletes to hit the field for the Dolphins in quite some time. But for as hard as he is to contain in a footrace, Waddle is equally difficult to box in while operating in tight spaces thanks to his elite agility and quickness.

Those skills got put on display today during joint practices between the Dolphins and the Atlanta Falcons, with Waddle showcasing the kind of quick-twitch ability to tear apart opposing defenders in one on one situations.

His latest handiwork is some of his best; and the Dolphins were kind enough to share it with the world.

Waddle was quite for his Dolphins preseason debut, not logging a catch against the Chicago Bears this past weekend. He did showcase this same electricity with a punt return that shook several Bears defenders out of their shoes — and we’d be willing to bet Waddle won’t need to wait too much longer to log a reception in a game setting. As he’s showing against the Atlanta Falcons, he’s oozing with potential and the separation ability needed to become a favorite target of his quarterback, Tua Tagovailoa.

Add in the preexisting chemistry between the two thanks to their days together in Tuscaloosa? An explosive play for Waddle in-game feels like it is just around the corner.
