Watch Dolphins QB Ryan Fitzpatrick truck a Buccaneers defender

The Miami Dolphins lost Friday night’s preseason contest against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers by a score of 16-14. The drama was largely reserved for the second half — as the teams twice exchanged the lead in the final minute of the football game.

But perhaps the best highlight of the night came courtesy of Dolphins quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick. Perhaps he was taking his frustrations out on the Buccaneers after Josh Rosen got the starter. Perhaps Fitzpatrick felt making a statement with his play would help his cause to win the starting job.

Either way, Ryan Fitzpatrick lowered “the boom” on a Tampa Bay defender, trucking him on a scramble play during the second half of the Dolphins’ loss to Tampa Bay.

It is easy to see why Dolphins players fall in line behind Fitzpatrick — especially when he’s willing to put his body on the line in the second half of a preseason contest.

Stay tuned to find out how Dolphins coach Brian Flores feels about the truck stick — and both Rosen and Fitzpatrick’s performances against the Buccaneers on Friday night.
