Watch Dolphins coach Brian Flores breakdown touchdown vs. Chargers

The Miami Dolphins are finding touchdowns pretty few and far between — they’ve scored just two through the first four games of the 2019 season. Their most recent one was a beauty, though! First-year Dolphin Josh Rosen dropped back to pass and zipped pass up the right sideline to DeVante Parker against the Chargers and now, thanks to Dolphins head coach Brian Flores, we know the how and why of the play.

Flores notes the growth for Rosen to help make this play happen — executing the full progression of reads and making the right decision with the football. Is the throw wide open? Yes. But the anticipation to feel the leverage of the route and the touch/timing with Parker to turn this opportunity into a pitch and catch scenario for six.

It’d be great if we got more touchdowns from Miami — maybe we could get more breakdowns like this from Flores to help coach up the fans on the how and the why of the Dolphins’ offense. Miami will score no touchdowns this week on the bye — but the good news is Miami won’t be taking a loss this weekend, either. Progress.
