WATCH: Dolphins choose Josh Rosen to start Sunday

Josh Rosen is an NFL starting quarterback again… on the league’s worst team, again.

Ian Rapoport reported Thursday that the Miami Dolphins (0-2) made the decision to start the 22-year-old Sunday as the team visits the Dallas Cowboys (2-0). Rosen will replace 36-year-old journeyman quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick who started both Dolphins games this season.

Fitzpatrick completed a combined 25 of 50 passes in two games this season, throwing four interceptions and one touchdown. Rosen appeared in the losses to the Ravens and the Patriots, completing a combined 8 of 21 passes and throwing two interceptions in his limited relief role.

Last season, Rosen was the statistically worst quarterback in the NFL, completing just 55.8% of his passes as a rookie, after the Arizona Cardinals selected him 10th overall in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft. The Cards’ performance last season warranted the team having the first overall pick of this year’s draft and the franchise replaced Rosen with Kyler Murray.

Rosen was traded in April to Miami.
