Seattle Seahawks rookie wide receiver DK Metcalf surprised his mother on her birthday by buying her a brand new car, bringing her to tears in a video posted by Bleacher Report.
Metcalf has a family history in the NFL as his dad, Terrence Metcalf, played guard for the Chicago Bears from 2002-2009.
The 21-year-old rookie out of Ole Miss is off to a strong start in his first NFL season, hauling in 12 receptions for 267 yards, good for a league-leading 22.3 yards per reception.
He also has two touchdowns, including a 40-yard bomb he hauled in on Thursday night against the Rams in primetime.
The subject of numerous viral videos this season, including his ridiculous performance at the combine, his first meeting with coach Pete Carroll and his Week 1 mouthguard that looked like a pacifier, Metcalf continues to avoid letting the spotlight get to him by letting his performance on the field do the talking.
