WATCH: DJ Chark and Gardner Minshew link up for third touchdown connection

Jacksonville Jaguars receiver DJ Chark just keeps impressing after having a rough 2018 rookie campaign. He and rookie quarterback Gardner Minshew have especially had a strong connection, and it was put on display once again in the opening drive of Sunday’s game against the Carolina Panthers.

With just over seven minutes left in the first quarter, the two linked up for a 37-yard touchdown reception to knot the game up at 7-7. Chark was able together behind defensive back Richie Brockel who was in coverage — and the rest was history.

Heading into Sunday’s game the Panthers’ passing defense was first in the league against the pass, allowing an average of 156.8 yards per game. That seemingly hasn’t rattled Minshew, Chark and offensive coordinator John DeFilippo, who have propelled the Jags to new heights in the passing game this season.
