Deshaun Watson must be watching the Aaron Rodgers film. On 3rd-and-4, the Houston Texans quarterback caught Atlanta Falcons pass-rusher Vic Beasley jumping offsides. He took advantage of the free play by gashing the Falcons defense.
Against a Cover-2 look, Watson found wide receiver Keke Coutee sprint midfield on a post route. In doing so, he delivered a perfect ball to the second-year former Red Raider, completing a 51-yard pass.
The catch was Coutee’s third of the day, as he has three for 72 yards. The Texans offense is taking advantage of the attention Atlanta is giving to DeAndre Hopkins, as both Coutee and Will Fuller have performed well. Fuller has nine receptions for 107 yards and two scores.
Shortly after the significant gain, running back Carlos Hyde punched in a 1-yard touchdown to put the Texans up 23-17.Watson has had a masterful game, as he is 16 for 19 for 226 yards and two touchdowns.
