In last week’s Houston Texans 16-10 loss to the Carolina Panthers, quarterback Deshaun Watson missed two deep passes he should have had. After staying late post-game with his quarterback coach, Quincy Avery, Watson appears to have his deep-ball throwing skills back.
In their third drive of the day — following an Atlanta Falcons kick out of bounds — the Texans needed six plays to get 60 yards down the field. On the last play of the early second-quarter drive, Watson found wide receiver Will Fuller for a 33-yard touchdown.
With the touchdown grab, Fuller has two far before the end of the first half. It is his fourth career game with at least two receiving touchdowns.
By the end of the third drive, Fuller has five receptions (five targets) for 54 yards and two touchdowns. Watson: 8 for 9 for 97 yards and two touchdowns, good for a 151.2 passer rating. You better hope you started both in fantasy.
