Watch: Derry Girls cast hold Zoom meeting as part of RTE Comic Relief

It's been a while since we've seen them all together on our screens, but the Derry Girls have officially reunited ahead of an RTE Comic Relief fundraiser tonight (well...via Zoom anyway).

In a clip shared by RTE ahead of the TV event, the five main actors of the show come together via video link to discuss whether or not they're like the characters they play on the show.

And, despite Saoirse Monica-Jackson's claim that they're all completely different in real life, the skit sees Jamie-Lee O'Donnell (Michelle) scold English actor Dylan Llewellyn (James), while Louisa Harland (Orla) tries to offer the gang Skittles through her computer.

The clip comes ahead of a special Comic Relief night, to be broadcast on RTÉ on Friday, June 26.

Among those taking part in the event will be the stars of Derry Girls and Normal People, as well as Niall Horan, Hozier and many more leading lights.

RTE said: "Hosted by Deirdre O'Kane, Nicky Byrne, Jennifer Zamparelli and Eoghan McDermott, the night promises to bring together the very best of Irish entertainment for a number of good causes.

"You can expect performances and appearances from a whole host of Irish stars including Dara Ó Briain, Hozier, Amy Huberman, Chris O'Dowd, Jason Byrne,  Normal People' s Paul Mescal and Daisy Edgar-Jones, Andrew Scott, Nathan Carter, Niall Horan, Paul Howard, the RTÉ Concert Orchestra, Soulé, Lenny Abrahamson, Zig & Zag, Christy Moore, The  Derry Girls , and many, many more..."

The show will be broadcast live from RTÉ studios from 8pm on RTÉ One, with links to Irish talent across the country and further afield.

According to RTÉ, the charity partner for the event is The Community Foundation for Ireland, who will distribute the funds raised.

"One of Ireland's leading philanthropic organisations with extensive expertise in grant-making in Ireland, the Community Foundation for Ireland was established in 2000 and has a strong working relationship with over 4,000 non-profit organisations at a national, regional and local level throughout Ireland."
