Deontay Wilder’s stunning first-round KO had boxing fans in awe, including Conor McGregor

Deontay Wilder said earlier in the week that he wanted to some day kill a fighter in the ring because as a fighter he’s allowed to do something like that.

It was a pretty dramatic way to sell a fight but then Wilder went out Saturday night and quickly delivered a stunning first-round knockout in his heavyweight title fight against Dominic Breazeale at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

It was an incredibly violent/perfect punch that had fans in awe.

Before we get to the KO, CBS Sports had Wilder’s post-fight reaction to the knockout:

“Everything just came out of me tonight,” Wilder said. “I know there was a lot of words and animosity against each other and it just came out tonight. This is what makes boxing so great when you can have so much inside and just overcome.”
