Watch Deontay Wilder KO Dominic Breazeale to retain world title

This is the moment Deontay Wilder destroyed Dominic Breazeale with a single punch to retain his world title.

The heavyweight detonated a right hand from hell to leave his challenger prone on the canvas.

Breazeale was unable to rise and his challenge for the world title was over after just two minutes.

Wilder returned to winning ways having been forced to settle for a controversial draw with Tyson Fury last December.

Having notched up his 41st professional victory, the American insisted he will fight Anthony Joshua.

Wilder said: "If it's a fight people want to see you might find me there; I don't know, I can't promise you right now.

"It will happen, I'm going to cut to the chase. The heavyweight division is lit right now and it's our obligation to make it happen.

"The next time it comes around to discussing it, I think the deal will get done.

"People have to have patience but it will happen, I promise you that."

Wilder had made death threats against Breazeale before the fight, claiming he had no problem killing his opponent in the ring.

But after the KO, he claimed he was happy his challenger would walk out of the ring.

"Everything came out of me tonight. I know it's been a big build up a lot of animosity and hatred; a lot of words were said and it came out tonight.

"This is what makes boxing so great. I told him I love him and of course I wanted him to go home to his family.

"When you settle your differences with the gloves on that’s what the sport is about."
