Watch: Demario Davis, Drew Brees deliver Saints pregame speech

The New Orleans Saints enjoy the benefits of strong team leadership, with veteran players like linebacker Demario Davis and quarterback Drew Brees forming a nucleus for everyone else to build around. Their partnership was on crystal-clear display during a tag-team pregame speech delivered to huddled teammates, with Davis starting off before passing the torch to Brees.

Davis has carried the same message each week, having stepped into the role when Brees missed a Week 3 game against the Seattle Seahawks after undergoing thumb surgery. The veteran linebacker told his teammates to “prowl, kill, and eat,” and Brees followed up by bringing back the “win again” chant he made iconic in the Saints’ 2009 run up to Super Bowl XLIV. The Saints are ready to kick off in Jacksonville. With passionate leaders at the helm like Davis and experienced eyes like Brees’ watching from the sideline, they’re in great position to extend their winning streak to four games.
