Watch: DeMarcus Cousins drops 24 and 10 in win over Hornets

DeMarcus Cousins is finally starting to get into a real groove on the floor with the Warriors. In the team’s win over the Hornets in Charlotte on Monday night, Boogie recorded his fourth consecutive double-double.

The game against the Hornets was arguably his best performance on the season. He was active around the rim, he was hitting from deep, dunking off rolls from P&R sets and finishing after nice moves on the perimeter.

Boogie isn’t all the way back to his old self yet, but we’re seeing flashes of what he was before the Achilles injury, and more importantly, what the Warriors could potentially become with a fully healthy Cousins in the fold.

What Cousins was most excited about was his increase in minutes — 31 on the night — and how he can build on that going forward. Head coach Steve Kerr is still going to have to be smart about how often and how long he plays Cousins, but it’s nice to see that he can perform well with the increased exerted energy.

Check out the best of Boogie’s night in the video below.
