The 49ers needed a big-time drive when they took over at their own 6-yard-line late in the first quarter. They proceeded to go 94 yards in six plays for a touchdown. Deebo Samuel capped the drive with a 30-yard run and a nasty spin move to find the end zone.
That’s the kind of versatility that made Samuel an early second-round pick. He now has 156 yards and three touchdowns on 13 carries. A 10-0 lead at the end of the first quarter is key.
