Day one of Donald Trump’s state visit to the UK, which included a royal welcome and a lavish banquet, has concluded.
On his first official day, he paid a visit to St George's Chapel to lay a wreath at Queen Elizabeth II’s grave and witnessed a guard of honour and carriage procession.
The spectacle continued late into the evening with a luxury state banquet at St George’s Hall, which was attended by 160 guests.
Both the US president and the King gave speeches, with the pair both praising the UK and US’ “special relationship”.
