Damian Lillard could have just walked off the court after dropping a stunning buzzer-beater from 37 feet Tuesday night in Portland. Not only did it win the game, 118-115, it also clinched the Trailblazers’ first-round series over the Thunder in the NBA playoffs.
But instead of ignoring the Oklahoma City bench – particularly Russell Westbrook and Dennis Schroder – the point guard waved goodbye to his guests as the Moda Center erupted and his teammates stormed the court.
Lillard and the Blazers had put up with more trash talk than warranted from the OKC squad throughout the series, but he clearly wasn’t about talking Tuesday night. After the game, he told reporters, “I mean, the series was over. … That was it.”
Safe trip back to Oklahoma City, guys!
