WATCH: Cowboys top Forbes’ list of most valuable sports teams

The Dallas Cowboys rank No. 1 on the Forbes 50 Most Valuable Sports Franchises list for the fourth straight year.

The team’s value of $5 billion lands it the top spot, leading a group of NFL franchises which makes up more than half of the Top 50. No other NFL team, however, joins the Cowboys in the Top 5.

The New York Yankees jumped three spots this year to No. 2. The MLB franchise is given a $4.6 billion dollar worth, according to Forbes’ calculations.

Two soccer teams rank third and fourth on the list — Real Madrid and Barcelona, respectively.

The NBA’s New York Knicks hold the No. 5 spot, despite their struggles on the court in recent seasons. The Knicks lead nine teams from the league, including the Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Lakers both ranking in the Top 10.
