Conor McGregor’s quest for a rematch with Khabib Nurmagomedov, his opponent in last October’s UFC 229, continues.
The retired UFC fighter has called out Nurmagomedov several times since McGregor lost by submission in the fourth round, saying he wants another shot at him. McGregor’s most recent attempt comes from an interview with fitness guru turned motivational speaker Tony Robbins.
On Robbins’ podcast, McGregor said that Nurmagomedov’s camp is to blame if the rematch doesn’t happen. “They’re running away, I’m here for the fight,” he said.
Robbins responded, “So you’re retired unless they give you the fight?” To which McGregor laughed and responded, “Yeah. Pretty much.”
Looks like the ball’s in your court, Khabib.
