Just as Indianapolis Colts safety Malik Hooker made an impressive one-handed snag for an interception earlier in the week at training camp, rookie cornerback Rock Ya-Sin felt the need to one-up him.
In a play that essentially encapsulates how his training camp has gone thus far, Ya-Sin made an improbable interception during Monday’s practice. On a pass from Jacoby Brissett to wide receiver Devin Funchess, it appeared the latter had the reception secure until Ya-Sin swiped the ball straight out of Funchess’ hands.
It was a hype moment for the rookie, who has been making plays all preseason. Watching the sheer elation of the defensive unit shows just how ridiculous of a play it was.
