WATCH: Clemson Tigers already have national championship parade scheduled

Dabo Swinney is either super cocky or incredibly Type-A.

(Maybe a touch of both.)

The Clemson football coach recently revealed to CBS Sports’ Dennis Dodd that not only is he expecting to be in New Orleans for the College Football Playoff national championship game on Jan. 13, he’s also set a date for the Tigers’ national championship parade.

“Oh yeah,” he said to Dodd. “It says we’re playing to win. Already got the parade on there and everything. It’s what we do. We’ve always done it that way.”

Swinney said he sets aside time each summer to fill out a 13-month calendar that details everything from team meetings to, well, celebrating his program’s next national championship.

No. 1 Clemson has won 19 consecutive games — going undefeated in 2018 en route to the program’s second national title in three seasons — and has four wins in four weeks heading into Saturday’s matchup against North Carolina in Chapel Hill.
