Not just a striker, Ciryl Gane now has more submissions than knockouts on his resume.
Gane (5-0 MMA, 2-0 UFC), a kickboxer, notched another one Saturday in ever so impressive fashion, tapping out Don’Tale Mayes at UFC on ESPN+ 20 via heel hook with only 14 seconds left in the fight, the latest submission win in UFC heavyweight history.

Training out of MMA Factory in Paris, alongside heavyweight contender Francis Ngannou, Gane has aspirations of headlining a show in his home country of France. And with the sport getting legalized effective January 2020, he could see that come to fruition.
Either way, we’ve got a new heavyweight contender on the block.
