Watch: China shows off powerful cruise and hypersonic missiles in military parade

China's President Xi Jinping unveiled a range of cruise and hypersonic missiles at a significant military parade in Beijing.
The event, held on Wednesday, 3 September 2025, commemorated the 80th anniversary of Japan's defeat in World War Two.
Twenty-six world leaders, including Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong Un, attended, marking the first public meeting of leaders from China, Russia, and North Korea.
New weaponry showcased included nuclear-capable intercontinental ballistic missiles, advanced underwater drones, and a new model of hypersonic missile.
