Watch chilling moment a man pulls a knife on a shopkeeper

This is the chilling moment a young man pulled a knife on a shop worker mopping the floor, as worried police step up the search for him.

The man was filmed on CCTV cameras choosing a drink from the newsagents in Bristol, before pulling a knife from his pocket.

The footage released by Avon and Somerset police stops at the point the attack begins, but detectives said the man began ‘for no apparent reason’.

The attacker didn’t even steal anything, and the victim managed to somehow fight off his assailant and bundle him out of the shop.

The incident happened at a newsagents on Gloucester Road in Horfield at around 7.40am on Sunday, August 18.

“A man entered the store while the shopkeeper was mopping the floor,” a police spokesperson said.

“He then, for no apparent reason, attacked the newsagent with a knife.
