Watch Charlie Lindsay's stunning Rangers free kick as Ibrox kids salvage last-gasp point

Rangers U17s salvaged a dramatic point in an eight goal thriller against Aspire Academy in the Alkass Cup.

The Ibrox kids are in Qatar for the youth tournament as they look to retain their title after last year's success.

And Charlie Lindsay is a player that seems to be making a name for himself as he inspired his side to a 4-4 comeback.

After his stoppage time winner over Suwon Samsung in a 3-2 victory, the youngster was instrumental once again in the fight back over Aspire.

The captain starred as he scored two goals and provided a delightful flick in the lead up to the all important fourth goal.

But it was his unstoppable free kick that was the standout moment of the match as he made it 2-1.

Lindsay had no right to shoot from where he was and caught the keeper out as he bravely took aim instead of trying to find one of his team-mates in the middle.

The looping effort went in off the post and the goalie had no chance of keeping the spectacular effort out.

Lindsay then scored his second of the game to claw it back to 4-3, before playing his part in Rory Wilson's strike as Rangers claimed an unlikely point.

Kai Kennedy was the player of the tournament in last year's edition as David McCallum's side claimed the coveted piece of silverware.

And the Ibrox youth side will hope for another deep run in the competition this year and are off to a good start.

Steven Gerrard will be keeping a close eye on the teenagers as they look to give the manager some food for thought in the future.
