WATCH: Chargers owner calls London move report ‘total (expletive)’

Chargers owner Dean Spanos used strong language Tuesday to dispute a report from The Athletic, which said that the NFL is considering moving the team to London.

“It’s total (expletive) (expletive), OK?” Spanos told reporters on Tuesday in response to the report. “We’re not going to London. We’re not going anywhere. We’re playing in Los Angeles. This is our home. This is where I’m planning to be for a long (expletive) time. Period.”

The Athletic’s report regarding the possible relocation out of the United States said, “the possibility of the Chargers moving to London has been broached among league personnel,” adding that the franchise would “listen,” to proposals. The conversation regarding a potential move centers around the lack of attendance at Chargers home games and general lack of enthusiasm for one of two NFL teams in Los Angeles.

Even in The Athletic’s article, Spanos said that the team is staying in LA.
