After a 64-day holdout, Chargers running back Melvin Gordon is back with the team.
While many are excited for Gordon’s return, so was his teammate, wide receiver Keenan Allen, who captured his arrival and posted it to his personal Instagram account this morning.
In the video, you can hear Allen’s excitement through his voice and he even jokes about bringing his own shoulder pads.
Gordon is not expected to play this Sunday against the Dolphins, and the team will seek a two-game roster exemption to ensure he’s in tip top shape for when he finally plays.
Gordon will be subject to $1.2 million worth of fines while losing out on $989,118 worth of base salary for the first three regular season games.
According to ESPN’s Josina Anderson, Gordon expects 2019 to be his final season with the Chargers.
