Watch: Chargers’ Joey, Nick Bosa goes head to head in 40-yard dash

Day 3 of the 2019 National Scouting Combine was led by the defensive tackles, edge defenders and linebackers. Among the top players at his position and country is Chargers’ Joey Bosa’s younger brother and former Ohio State product, Nick.

Just three years ago, Joey was showcasing his athleticism in front of many NFL decision makers, which ultimately saw him selected by Los Angeles at No. 3 overall in the 2016 NFL draft.

Today, Nick got the spotlight in hopes that he would staple himself as the No. 1 overall selection.

Kicking things off, all prospects ran the 40-yard dash. Using a cool feature called Simulcam, it was able to put the two brothers in a simulation if they were to run next to each other based on their perspective times.

It’s safe to say that Nick had his older brother by the hair, and the rest of their testing numbers aren’t that far off from each other, either.

Joey’s number were a 4.86 40-yard dash, 1.68 10-yard split, 32-inch vertical, 10-foot broad jump, 6.89 three-cone drill, 4.21 short shuttle and 24 reps on the bench press.

Meanwhile, Nick posted a 4.79 40-yard dash, 1.55 10-yard split, 33.5-inch vertical, 9-foot-8 inch broad jump, 7.10 three-cone drill and 29 reps on the bench press.
