WATCH: Chandler Jones forces fumble for first sack of year

Arizona Cardinals outside linebacker Chandler Jones picked up right where he left off last season. In the first quarter, just one play after Kyler Murray threw an interception, he hit Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford hard to force a fumble and set up the Cardinals in their best field position of the day.

It was his first sack of the year and the fourth straight season he has had a sack in the season opener. Here is the play:

Jones managed to work his way around Lions linemen Taylor Decker and Joe Dahl to lay a huge hit on Stafford to free the ball and set up the Cardinals at their own 30-yard line.

Taylor Decker was drafted with the Lions 16th overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. While he hasn’t had the impact that one should have at his position, he will definitely continue to have his work cut out for him with one of the best pass rushers in football on his side.

Jones will look to continue momentum with this sack and forced fumble from last season where he had 13.0 sacks and three forced fumbles.
