Boston Celtics stashed 2020 NBA draft point guard prospect Yam Madar had the opportunity to represent his native Israel in the 2021 FIBA EuroBasket Qualifiers last month, in a short break from play with his usual team, Hapoel Tel Aviv in the Israeli Premier Basketball League.
Perhaps a much needed break after his relationship with Hapoel Tel Aviv turned sour regarding his future with the team and contract obligations, Madar helped power Israel to the best record of any team in the qualifiers, 5-1 in Group A action against Spain, Poland and Romania.

While it might not be for another season after this one, the Hapoel Tel Aviv star already looks like he could impact NBA games now.
