WATCH: Celtics rookie Romeo Langford scores first NBA bucket

Boston Celtics rookie Romeo Langford, the 14th overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft, wasted no time getting on the board in his NBA debut, grabbing a rebound on one end before taking the ball to the rack on the other against the Orlando Magic on Friday night for the first points (and rebound) of his NBA career.

At least, as far as the preseason goes anyways.

The 6-foot-4 swingman out of Indiana boasts an instinctual feel for the game, particularly as a scorer. That makes him similar to players like teammates Kemba Walker and Jayson Tatum in that regard, although the 19-year-old Langford is undoubtedly inexperienced after just one year of college.

The Celtics will hope to see more of Romeo’s cerebral playmaking ability throughout his rookie campaign.
