Isaiah Thomas made his return to the TD Garden on Monday, a place he called home for three seasons while with the Boston Celtics. The undersized point guard was a vital piece in the Celtics’ rebuilding process, helping the team overachieve in he short career in Boston.

On Monday, the Celtics honored Thomas with a video, highlighting not only some of his plays miraculous plays but also his time spent in the community. The video also featured his defining moment with the city of Boston, when Thomas played in a postseason game after his sister, Chyna, passed away in a car accident and the community rallied around him.

The video led to this reaction from NBC Sports Boston analyst, long-time Celtics legend and Basketball Hall-of-Famer Tom Heinsohn:

No player took to the city of Boston like that guy. And no guy, the city responded to. One of the greatest competitors that ever to put on a green uniform.
