If you just skip over how efficient Boston Celtics star forward Jayson Tatum was coming off the bench in Team USA’s 91 to 83 exhibition loss to the Australian National Team Monday night in Las Vegas, Nevada, it wouldn’t be the worst performance fr the Duke product.
Tatum put up 8 points, 3 rebounds, and 4 assists against his opponents from Downunder, the latter stat of particular interest on a night when his shot wasn’t falling. Unfortunately for Team USA and Celtics fans both, the St. Louis native went a tough 4-of-12 from the field and a brutal 0-for-6 from beyond the arc in the loss, a second straight for the U.S. National Team.
After having dropped another friendly to the Nigerian National Team two days prior, expect Team USA to come out motivated and hopefully more connected today against Argentina.
