Watch Celtic stewards get sent to the shops as young fan gives security the runaround at Parkhead

There might have been a silent protest going on while the game was taking place.

But Parkhead was filled with laughter as a young Celtic fan dashed onto the pitch at half-time on Thursday night before giving the on-duty stewards the slip.

A trio of boys took to the turf after Ange Postecoglou's men went into the dressing rooms 1-0 up against Real Betis courtesy of Stephen Welsh's header in the opening stages.

One was particularly mobile as stewards were pictured decking it in his wake.

The three were eventually apprehended and, presumably, missed a belter of a second half.

Betis levelled when Scott Bain tipped a shot onto the post only for it to rebound off his own leg and in.

Ewan Henderson fired Celtic back into the lead but Borja Iglesias equalised again for the Spaniards.

Celtic would have the last laugh though when David Turnbull blasted home a penalty.
