Watch Celtic's Patryk Klimala score clever Poland goal as he stakes claim for starting spot

Patryk Klimala scored a clever goal for Poland U21s in their 6-0 rout of Estonia.

The Celtic striker led the line for his national side in their Euro 2021 U21s qualifier and bagged his side's second with a lovely finish.

The 22-year-old will be hoping to have caught the eye of Neil Lennon as he continues to push for a place in his side.

The forward has impressed off the bench for Celtic this term, but has not yet been included in the starting XI despite a recent injury to Odsonne Edouard and Albian Ajeti still getting up to speed.

Celtic fans were furious when Lennon didn't play a recognised striker as they crashed out of the Champions League to Ferencvaros and thought Klimala deserved his chance.

The Hoops boss deployed the same set-up with Ryan Christie as a false no.9 in their 3-0 win over Motherwell at the weekend, but supporters felt Klimala's impact off the bench was pivotal in their second half performance.

His goal tonight will give Lennon some food for thought for the away trip to Ross County after the international break as the addition of Shane Duffy would allow him to use his favoured 3-5-2 formation with Edouard and Klimala up top.
