Watch Celtic boss Neil Lennon respond to reporter's 'awful' question

Neil Lennon has responded with bemusement after a reporter asked if anything less than another domestic treble would constitute failure.

Speaking at Celtic Park ahead of his side's trip to face Livingston on Premiership duty, Lennon too issue with the suggestion and insisted that he was carrying on the good work of his predecessor Brendan Rodgers.

The Celtic boss was clearly unimpressed with the question as he prepared for what he expects to be a "tough game" against Livi.

After being asked: "The bar's been set so high with 10 trophies in a row now, a treble treble, you're going for a quadruple treble, semi-final of the cup, 12-point lead. Would it be a failure if you didn't get it all done this season?", Lennon said: "That's an awful question.

"I don't know who would deem that a failure. My remit is to carry on the good work that was left behind by Brendan and so far so good.

"So if some people deem it a failure that we don't succeed in that aspect then I accept that, but it's a strange question."

Lennon praised Gary Holt's side, saying: "It's a tough game. There is no question.

"Their home form is excellent and they are a big, strong team. They can play three at the back or four at the back. We are under no illusions how difficult it is going to be. It's going to be a very tough game and not for the faint-hearted.

"They can be direct, they have good energy, they are a threat at set-plays and they do it very well. We have to overcome that and match whatever they throw at us, and then better it.

"We have got to be at our best and focused and concentrated, and we have to be physically strong as well."
