WATCH: Cardinals make incredible video tribute to Kurt Warner for his birthday

On Saturday, former Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kurt Warner had his 48th birthday. The team released a tribute video in his honor.

It begins with comments he made when he signed with the team in March 2005.

He said then he felt he “had a lot of football left” and would end up playing five years before retiring.

He, as Peter King notes, “changed the course of the history of the Arizona Cardinals.”

It wasn’t his play on the field that changed things in the organization. His extensive community work “inspired” everyone in the organization.

Ron Wolfley called him “a perfect leader.”

Larry Fitzgerald said Warner helped him “become a better man.”

He took the Cardinals to the brink of a championship. He is in the team’s Ring of Honor. He is a Hall od Famer.

Looking at the history of the Cardinals since coming to Arizona, Warner is most likely the most impactful player they have had.

They were lucky to find him and he was lucky to have the perfect situation to add another chapter to his NFL legacy.
