Watch car cause collision after driving wrong way on dual carriageway

Shocking footage has captured a near-miss involving a car which was driving in the wrong direction on a dual carriageway.

The dashcam footage shows the driver swerving off the road to avoid a head-on collision with another vehicle.

Police say the driver was travelling the wrong way in the fast lane of the A413 and is now being sought by police.

The above video shows the rogue driver coming within inches of smashing into another car, which then pulls up at the side of the road.

Despite narrowly avoiding a serious collision, one of the car’s wing mirrors was knocked off after the two vehicles made contact.

Thames Valley Police is appealing with anyone with information to get in touch.

A police spokesman said: “Thames Valley Police received a report on Monday at around 7.40pm that a car, believed to be a grey Range Rover, travelling the wrong way down the A413 Amersham Road was involved in minor collision with another vehicle.

“Officers attended and no one was injured. The grey Range Rover failed to stop at the scene.

“Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101, quoting reference 1285 9/9/2019."
