Cam Newton is taking his story directly to the people. Speaking in a 10-minute video blog released on Youtube earlier today, Newton shared an intimate look at what he’s been going through this offseason. Last month, Newton underwent a procedure on his throwing shoulder, which had gone through a significant decline during the 2018 season.
Newton opened up for fans in a way that we’ve never seen him do before. He admits to feeling vulnerable as his shoulder continued to hurt despite reduced practice reps. Newton also admitted to what was obvious on tape – that he couldn’t throw the ball more than 30 yards down the field. He speaks to his frustration during the time but also says he’s optimistic about the future.
