Moving on from Cam Newton when they did was a poor football decision by the Carolina Panthers.
That in itself was enough to turn off many fans. The way that it was handled was baffling from a public relations perspective, making matters worse. Aside from a short video shared on Twitter, there was no sendoff or appreciation shown for the nine years he’d put in as the best quarterback in franchise history.
Newton himself was reported to be blindsided by the decision. Now, Cam claims that he found out the team wanted to trade him via text message.
Hard to believe.
Now, Carolina’s loss is New England’s gain. It’s hard not to root for Newton, even wearing a Patriots uniform.
