WATCH: Brooks Koepka, Joe Buck on two-year streak of playful banter for flub over girlfriend’s name

Brooks Koepka and FOX Sports announcer Joe Buck are continuing a joke that began two years ago ahead of this year’s U.S. Open.

Koepka claimed his first major championship at Erin Hills in 2017, winning the U.S. Open. When Koepka celebrated the win by sharing a kiss with his girlfriend, Jena Sims, Buck called her by Koepka’s ex-girlfriend’s name (Becky Edwards).

Buck apologized for the mistake, then omitted Sims’ name altogether during the same moment in 2018 after Koepka repeated his U.S. Open win, later emphasizing “Jena,” on-air.

The golfer and broadcaster joked about the mistake at the 2018 PGA Championship and ahead of this weekend’s U.S. Open, Buck tweeted a video with Koepka in which he gets called “Jim,” commenting about payback.
