Watch: Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders shows off speedy footwork in workout video

If his speedy footwork is any indication of his recovery progress, Broncos wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders certainly looks like he will be healthy for Denver’s season opener against the Raiders on Sept. 9.

Sanders, who suffered an Achilles injury in December, seems to be ahead of schedule in his recovery and he has been working out with personal trainer Rischad Whitfield, who is known as the “Footwork King.”

Whitfield posted a video on Twitter earlier this week showing off Sanders’ quick footwork.

Sanders said earlier this month that he believes it is “realistic” for him to aim to return in time for Week 1. This season could mark the veteran’s final year with the Broncos as Sanders is set to become a free agent in 2020.

Sanders, 32, hauled in 71 receptions for 868 yards and scored six total touchdowns in 12 games last season. Sanders will have a base salary of $10.25 million this year, the highest total of his career.
