WATCH: Broncos QB Joe Flacco doesn’t plan to mentor Drew Lock

There is no ‘I’ in team … unless you’re Joe Flacco. The Broncos quarterback made it very clear at the start of Denver’s OTAs that he is not going to take rookie QB Drew Lock under his wing anytime soon.

“I don’t look at that as my job,” Flacco told reporters on Monday. “My job is to go win football games for this football team.”

Flacco may feel a little hesitant to train up the Broncos’ second-round draft pick given that he lost his job to another rookie QB — Lamar Jackson — last year with the Ravens.

And, in this case, his coach has his back. Vic Fangio also told reporters that it’s up to Lock “to soak in and learn.” Welcome to the NFL, rook.
